Job Title: Maintenance Project Manager

Full -Time: 37.5 hours per week

At this exciting time of business growth, we have a vacancy for a full-time Maintenance Project Manager who will be part of our team providing Computerised Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) implementation services to SMP Ltd.’s extensive global customer base.

 

Required Skills

 

  • Minimum HNC/D qualification (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline
  • Computer literacy to a high standard (knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Excel and Project)
  • Driving licence conforming to United Kingdom requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a requirement for this role as the successful candidate will be expected to interact with customer personnel at all operational levels
  • Ability to work on one’s own initiative is of the highest importance

 

Desirable Skills

 

  • Engineering/Maintenance experience with exposure to project management, contract engineering or maintenance planning being advantageous
  • A suitable H&S qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH certification would be valued
  • Experience in developing and implementing H&S risk assessments would be of use
  • Familiarity with professional standards such as World Class Manufacturing, TQM, RCM, TPM, health & safety, help desk procedures, corporate quality and change management processes is highly useful
  • Previous experience implementing CMMS systems will yield a significant advantage

 

Salary & Benefits

 

  • Negotiable salary depending on experience
  • 33 days annual holiday (including bank holidays)

Place of Work

 

The role will be based at the successful candidate’s home but requires extensive national and international travel.  Additionally, the role will require regular visits to the company primary offices in Swindon as required.
